In the Spring of 2004 I graduated with a Bachelors of Arts Degree with Honors in Radio/TV/Film from California State University of Fullerton. There, I was top of my class and was awarded the prestigious “Most Professional Promise” award along with receiving “Best Film” and “Best Commercial” recognitions from my department. In addition, I ran the college TV studio, directing and editing broadcasts along with special projects handed down from the Communications Department.
After college, I headed to Cox Communications where I was the technical director for all live sports broadcasts and in-studio talk shows and ENG camera operator/editor for many of their field productions. In addition to working for Cox Communications, I freelanced for companies such as Time Warner, Speed Channel, ABC, CBS, along with many others, working on all kinds of projects including reality TV, travel shows, entertainment, sports, documentaries, music videos, commercials, and short films. Having worked in all aspects of production, ranging from Producer to Director to Editor to Camera Operator, I handled any and all duties large or small.
In 2007 I decided to take my work into my own hands by creating and consulting on various reality projects. “Shutterbugs” is a docu-reality project I co-created with a partner that follows around a group of Hollywood paparazzi as they struggle to compete in their highly competitive field. “Unapologetically Sexy” is another docu-reality project that I was attached to that follows around a mother/pole dance instructor in her anything but typical life.
In 2010, I packed up the family and moved to Seattle, where I took a job with KOMO-TV (ABC Affiliate) in Commercial Production. Here, I’ve written, produced, directed, shot, and edited commercials for various clients throughout the region. I’m also involved in creating promos for the station — promos which have been nominated and won many Emmy’s here in the Pacific Northwest.
I continue to freelance on a number of different projects and always look forward to creating the next exciting video.
